Visitors with bright interesting clothing can bring a smile to a patient on dull days
If you think your relative or friend needs cheering up, try wearing vibrant clothing when you visit. It can be a great way to make them smile. Interesting accessories can also amuse some long-term patients who may be fascinated by shiny, jangly jewellery or belts.
Better still, bring them a bright scarf, swawl or blanket if you feel that is appropriate. It will add a splash of colour to their corner of the ward and, with luck, some admiring comments too!
