Scrapbook filled with useful information can help aid recovery
Sarah Willis from Scotland gave us this wonderful idea for helping a patient with memory problems.
Create a scrapbook. As well as photos, fill each page with information about likes and dislikes, how that person likes drinks, who family members are etc..
... I then progressed to e-mails where I would ask about the patient's meals, the weather, therapies etc. I used clipart to make them colourful and humerous. I asked the nurses to read them out loud and they helped the patient's recovery immensely.'
