Royal Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital 's new bird tables entertain patients and help wildlife

Patients are enjoying the two new bird tables installed outside the windows of wards catering for patients with strokes, brain injuries and other long term conditions.

This 'Kissing it Better' initiative was organised by the hospital's volunteer organiser. Within days of our suggestion, she had organised for these attractive tables to be installed, complete with food.

The benefits could be huge. Many of the patients have brain damage of some kind and often struggle to concentrate when watching the television. Seeing the birds feed, wash, play and fight is gentle entertainment and also provides the food with vital nourishment during the harshest days of the winter.
