Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies 'Red Tray Scheme' takes off
A scheme to identify vulnerable elderly patients at mealtimes.
Under the scheme, meals for those who need help with eating are served on a red tray, ensuring that plates are not removed from a patient until they have had enough and a nurse has made an assessment that the person has finished.
This scheme now operates in hundreds of hospitals around the country
