Pre-packed suitcase saves time and helps to maintain the dignity of an elderly patient
Thanks to Rhian Thomas, an auxillary nurse in Newport, South Wales for sending us this idea. A simple idea that could save time and embarrassment.
She writes....
'Ladies who are going into hospital to have a baby are told to keep a bag ready with toilettries,a nightie, etc. It would be nice if elderly people could be advized to do the same. So, if they are admitted unexpectedly, a relative or friend would not have to look for things in the friend/relative's home, which many people find intrusive.'
