Pictures to Share create specialised books with large pictures for people with dementia
Following her mother’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia and witnessing the communication problems these debilitating illnesses had raised between members of her family and her mother, Helen J Bate started up the social enterprise publishing company Pictures to Share producing ‘normal’ coffee table books with lots of pictures and a small amount of text such as a poem or a quotation. The pictures are clear and relevant and the text is large and easy to read without being patronising.
The Pictures to Share books can be bought direct from www.picturestoshare.co.uk, by phoning 01829 770024 for a brochure, or they can often be ordered from your local library.
