Neonatal unit in Scotland provides thoughtful items for their babies
A neonatal nurse has written to tell us some of the ideas they use to help parents with their babies.
She writes...
'We encourage our parents to leave disposable cameras (so that staff can try and photograph special moments in their absence). The hospital also provides very premature babies with boxes containg blankets of love, little photo albums, little notebooks for the parents, family and friends to record their thoughts and feelings which will be a nice keepsake later for the child and their parents.'
As this nurse is keen to do as much as possible for those in her care, she would be grateful if others could send in their suggestions so that eveyone can benefit. Please e-mail us at mail@kissingitbetter.co.uk so that we can add the ideas to this site.
