'For those struggling with mental health issues, telephone helplines staffed by trained staff or volunteers can be a real lifeline. Many of these are open 24 hrs daily or specific times during the day or week. Such help has been invaluable for me as I struggle with my mood and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder constantly, and the help offered by these caring and compassionate individuals has kept me alive during the most difficult times.
