Manchester City Council do 'Dignity in Care' with style and energy
Manchester City Council have adopted the 'Daisy' as an emblem of dignity. Brownie packs in the area can now gain a Dignity badge with a daisy emblem. They also use a large paper daisy and encourage people to write notes about dignity on the petals as a reminder of how important dignity is for all of us.
The daisy was inspired by a poem by Don Herald entitles 'If I had my life over- I'd pick more daisies'. It has been adapted by many people including Nadine Starr, age 85.
