Letters of thanks to medical (or non-medical staff) who 'go the extra mile' are hugely appreciated
MS from Derbyshire sent us this message to thank a nurse who made a huge difference to her hospital stay...
I will always remember with tremendous gratitude the affectionate hug and kind words that I received from a nurse (I think she was originally from Ghana) when I was recovering from a miscarriage at Calow hospital in Chesterfield. It meant so much to feel that someone seemed to understand and care. My only regret is that I should have thanked her more than I did, and I should have told her bosses what she did for me (we are too eager to voice our complaints, and ought to be as keen to express gratitude). Anyway, this is my way of saying thank you. I hope it will help others.
