Kissing it Better launches at QEII Hospital, Welwyn Garden City

A couple of months ago Kissing it Better started running events at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Welwyn Garden City - an extension of our work at The Lister Hospital in Stevenage, with East & North Herts NHS Trust.

I am so pleased that the events that are running have been welcomed so warmly by staff and patients alike. The wonderful Beauty Therapy Tutors at Oaklands College have embraced the opportunity to bring their students into the hospital on a weekly basis with huge enthusiasm and energy - thank you to Alison, Nancy and Jackie - and of course to all the girls that have given their time and talents to lift the spirits of patients, relatives and staff already this term.

Thank you also to the brilliant Adem Fehmi and his dog Yogi - they bring a ray of sunshine with them whenever they visit. We have also been lucky enough to welcome the fantastic Mixed 4Tunes - a ladies quartet who sing acappella around the wards.

You are all wonderful people!

Following the visit by Oaklands college yesterday I just wanted to let you know how much it was enjoyed by the patients, relatives and staff. The ladies were all very professional and interacted well with everyone. The visit was particularly enjoyed by two of our relatives who have a very sick relative on the ward and spend much of their day here. It was lovely for them to have a bit of pamper time just for them. Senior Sister at the QEII
