Kissing it Better Choir's got seasonal talent!

Tuesday 27 November

Under the expert guidance of Vocal Coach, Jackie Roxborough, more than 30 staff and volunteers from Walsall Manor Hospital staged a concert in the West Wing last Tuesday evening. Performing to an audience of around 75 patients and visitors, their repertoire was a mix of Christmas carols and popular songs.

After only six rehearsals, the group effortlessly sang in three part harmony delighting their audience with songs including 'Singing in the Rain', 'Amazing Grace', 'Bring me Sunshine' and a selection of carols.

Earlier in the evening, the choir visited four wards so that patients, who were not well enough to come to the concert, could get a flavour of what was in store.

The choir now plans to follow up their success with several more carol singing sessions around the wards. More ambitious plans are now being discussed for the New Year.

Thanks must also go to Constellation - a group of sixth formers who have been regular visitors to the hospital over the past couple of years. Their 'guest' appearance was greatly appreciated, especially Lucy's solo.
