Jill Fraser

Jill FraserJill Fraser trained as a nurse at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing at St Thomas' Hospital in London. During her training, she was awarded a scholarship by The Kings Fund to work in America. The experience gave her an interest in medical journalism and over the last 20 years she has presented health features for many programmes on television and radio including Womans Hour , Newsround and Breakfast Time for the BBC.

Jill is the Co-founder of Kissing it Better. From a kitchen table in Warwickshire, along with Nicola Matthews, she created Kissing it Better as an easy to use suggestion box, or one-stop-shop, for simple healthcare ideas that need to be shared.

Since it was created in 2009, Kissing it Better has been featured in many National newspapers including The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday and The Daily Mail. On several occasions Jill has also been a studio guest on The Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2.

She is a regular speaker at major conferences and has also spoken in The House of Lords.

In February she had a half hour meeting with Health Minister, Simon Burns, who described her work as 'inspirational'

Jill's novel, More Tea Less Vicar is a comic tale with a serious message. Featuring an abundance of stories of how the simplest ideas can make the 'world of difference' to village life, the book has been featured on Womans Hour on Radio 4 and Good Morning Sunday on Radio 2. Reprinted seven times, Jill has given hundreds of talks about her book and her lifestyle at venues across the country.

Jill, along with Nicola, are of the National Dignity Council which oversees the Dignity in Care campaign, a Department of Health initiative. Jill is their spokesperson.

Jill lives in in small village close to Stratford upon Avon with her husband, Sam, and their three children.
