Curtains simply re-aligned can improve the view for a patient
When a patient's bed is under a window, the patient's view can be blocked by thick curtains bunched up near the head of the bed.
Simply by un-hooking the end curtain hook (which is often fixed), often the curtains can be pulled back to the other end of the rail, thus enabling the patient to have an uninterrupted viewof the outside world from their bedside.
My mother is in a care home and is in a specialised bed for many hours during the day. Altering the position of the curtains when they were pulled back enabled her to see the Christmas lights along the street outside.
Also, whenever my mother is turned, I have requested a mirror be strtegically placed on her bedside table so that she can still see the view outside.
Finally, simply raising the bed slightly can hugely improve my mother's window view.
