So obvious, yet sometimes forgotten. As older people often struggle to make sense of their unfamiliar surroundings in hospitals or care homes, it is vital that their senses are working as well as possible. Taking a moment to check that the batteries are fully charged in a hearing aid may transform a patient's perception of their surroundings
