Birds round a bird table provide hours of gentle entertainment for patients in hospital
Why not ask your local ornithology club, or other groups, in your community to set up bird tables in gardens, or outside windows with no obvious view, to give long term patients something interesting to watch.
Seeing birds feed, play, wash and fight can provide hours of entertainment to patients who feel to ill or weak to read books or watch the television.
Once established, the local ornithology club may well be prepared to maintain it.
It's worth an ask!
