Presentation of food is key to whetting the appetite
So obvious, but so often it doesn't happen.
Jorden Gerring is a student nurse but, in her spare time works as a community care support worker
She writes.....
'I have found from working in the community as a carer, even the smallest of efforts can encourage clients to eat. I have found that cutting sandwiches into triangles instead of squares makes the client feel that you have made more of an effort with the preparation of their food. The better the presentation the food, the more appealing it is.'
