'The Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle has some great ideas', says grateful patient
Len of Shooters Hill has written to us praising the Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Everything on this list should be happening at every hospital. Sadly, that is not always the case.
Here are a selection of Len's observations..
The doctors were very approachable and informative
The nursing staff were very attentive and efficient. Nothing is forgotten. If you ask a nurse a question and she doesn't know the answer, she will find out and come back to you.
You are asked your preference as to how they should address you - forename only or Mr/Mrs etc making it appropriate to a patients' requirements.
Hand soap dispensers are available all over the hospital
Patients are asked their name, date of birth before every injection, tablet etc
The bedspreads are a crisp patterned cotton and are clean, spotless and ironed
The food is excellent, the choice numerous and very generous portions
