'Make in the mug' soups can make a change from tea or coffee and provide a welcome snack
We are grateful to Judith Barrett for sending us this simple, but thoughtful, gift idea
She writes...
As a patient, or a visitor to one, consider providing a supply of 'make in the mug' soups or chocolate drinks, if the patient likes them. Sometimes staff are unable to devote enough time to do a full 'tea round', but may be able to easily provide a mug of hot water for you to make up your own sachet. They can help stimulate the appetite and are easy to use and to drink.
Note: please check the patient is not on any special diet before bringing in extra food.
